Truth or Troll? Mastering the Art of Spotting Fake News
The Library will be hosting a workshop that will help build skills in evaluating online sources as well as identifying credible information.
The event will take place on Wednesday, May 14 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in R209.
Open invite to all students, no RSVP necessary.
Graduation Cap Decoration
A celebration for graduating students will be held on Tuesday, May 13 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Gorton Plaza.
Students are invited to come together and decorate their caps before continuing their future endeavors.
This event is sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs and the Career Center.
Pop-Up Research Help
The Intercultural Center is having its second Pop-Up Research Help event. This will give students the chance to meet SDCCD librarians and get the opportunity to explore the Intercultural Center that just reopened this semester.
It will take place on Tuesday, May 13 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., where there will be free books, snacks and more.
Students for Housing Justice Workshop
The Students for Housing Justice club will be hosting a workshop on Wednesday, May 14, from 2:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
They will provide information about supporting unhoused students as well as housing resources for City College students.
San Diego Padres take on the Angels, May 12-14
The San Diego City College sports season has concluded, but the San Diego Padres (23-13) will be playing the Los Angeles Angels one mile away from campus at Petco Park. The Padres are back in town after playing nine games on the road against the Pirates, Yankees and Rockies.
