Looking for something to do this week? Here are some of the exciting events coming up at San Diego City College from May 16 – 23.

Our True Stories, Our Wild Dreams, May 17

The World Culture Program is hosting a panel corresponding with Asian Pacific American Heritage Month on Saturday at 6 p.m.

 

The panel will feature guest speakers who will showcase their stories, poetry and art.

 

The event is open to all, and will be hosted over Zoom.

 

City College Library De-stress Week, May 19 – 22

The Library is hosting a variety of events throughout the week to help students relax during the final weeks of the semester.

 

On Monday, there will be a Study Jam, where students are invited to the library’s lounge to enjoy music, snacks, tea and coffee.

 

Tuesday will be a Craft Session. Students will be provided with materials to make bookmarks, bracelets and more.

 

Thursday will round out the week with the return of Love on a Leash, a pet-therapy group who provide dogs for students to interact with.

San Diego City College Commencement, May 22

City College Commencement will begin on Thursday at 5 p.m.

 

This is an opportunity for graduating students to be recognized for their hard work completing degrees and earning transfer opportunities.

 

Students will be expected to check in 2 hours earlier at 3 p.m. The event is open to all.
